Low Corporate Decline RateSubsurface Characterization & EOR Excellence
Celero Energy’s upstream engineering mandate focuses on authoritative reservoir management and extending the productive operational life of mature fields. Unlike operators focused exclusively on rapid, high-decline shale fracs, Celero acquires established, long-life assets characterized by immense original oil in place (OOIP) and applies systematic secondary and tertiary Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) disciplines.
Our technical teams utilize high-resolution 3D seismic inversion, computerized petrophysical log suites, and automated decline curve analysis (DCA) to uncover unswept pay zones. By executing high-density infill drilling patterns and continuous waterflood voidage replacement, our fields maintain low single-digit base decline rates with high cumulative free cash flow margins.
Voidage Replacement Ratio (VRR) Target
Our reservoir engineers maintain a tight 1.05 to 1.12 VRR across all waterflood units, ensuring reservoir pore pressure remains above bubble point pressure to eliminate free-gas breakout and maximize oil mobility toward producing wells.
Core Geological Target Formations
Prolific shelf carbonate with intercrystalline porosity (10–18%). Ideal target for five-spot pattern waterflooding and long-term secondary displacement.
Interbedded dolomites and sandstones with high residual oil saturation. Highly responsive to miscible supercritical CO2 displacement.
Shallow, highly permeable (50–300 mD) reservoir providing predictable, low-lifting-cost baseload crude production across Ward and Winkler counties.
Deeper structural fault blocks producing premium, light sweet crude (41°–44° API) with substantial natural gas energy and high initial well deliverability.
Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Lifecycle
How Celero systematically unlocks additional recovery factors from mature reservoirs, moving from primary pressure depletion to advanced closed-loop CO2 and produced-water recycling.
Primary Depletion & Audit
Detailed well-log digitization, downhole camera inspection, fluid-level sonic soundings, and casing integrity tests to identify unperforated pay horizons and mechanical re-entry candidates.
Waterflood Pressurization
Conversion of depleted wells to high-pressure water injectors. Injection of treated, closed-loop recycled water to re-energize formation pressures and drive oil banks directly toward producers.
Supercritical CO2 Injection
Injection of high-density CO2 through our 18.1-mile proprietary pipeline. Under reservoir conditions, CO2 reaches miscibility with crude, swelling the oil and lowering viscosity to release trapped hydrocarbons.
Field Development Case Studies
Proven engineering execution and tangible production turnarounds across core Permian Basin assets.
North Ward Estes Field Optimization
Ward & Winkler Counties, TX
Celero re-evaluated historical Yates and Seven Rivers waterflood patterns, replaced worn downhole tubing, and installed variable-frequency drive (VFD) electric submersible pumps (ESPs).
South Cowden Grayburg CO2 Flood
Ector County, TX
Implemented high-pressure CO2 WAG (Water-Alternating-Gas) displacement across 32 continuous patterns, supported by SCADA injection monitoring and acoustic leak detection.
Devonian Deep Recompletion Program
Andrews County, TX
Deep coiled-tubing cleanouts and targeted acid stimulations in bypassed carbonate zones, tied directly into zero-flare natural gas capture headers.
Leases Operated by Celero Energy, L.P.
Comprehensive Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) registered lease inventory across core Permian Basin counties.
